Cheers to my fellow bloggers!

So I started this blog about a month ago and my original intent was to update it a couple of times a week. I am really enjoying reading about other crafters posts and projects. I think often that I won’t think of anything to write about but I seem to be fortunate to have a lot to talk about with my crafting adventures.

Cheers to my followers and potential followers I truly enjoy each and every post and truly feel inspired but your projects and ideas!

Happy trails everyone!!!!my etsy store

Short attention span?

As I have mentioned in other posts I LOVE to crochet. I like being able to start something and have a completed project in a few days or less. Knitting always takes me longer (probably because my skill in it is less).

I wonder is that what the difference is between staunch knitters and crocheters? Are knitters inherently more patient folk and crocheters more impatient?

I would live to hear your thoughts. I do love both but always gravitate to the crochet projects first.

Happy Trails all!

I have had this ball of blue heron metallic yarn that is just beautiful. This one will not be put in my Etsy Store as I think I need a treat for me. Have a fab Sunday all!

Yarn and Fabric sale

Oh oh…. Watch out I am heading to the annual yarn and fabric sale here. Ujamaa This is my first adventure going to this although they hold it annually. I need yarn like I need a hole in the head but I don’t know of many crafters out there that consider that.

Have a fab Saturday all!!!!!

Enough time?

I often wonder where does all the time go. That old adage about how time seems to speed up as we get older feels true.

I am a grandmother raising her granddaughter which wasn’t in the grand plan but its definitely worth every minute as she is now speaking quite a bit and is a lot of fun. Thankfully my husband helps out a lot but we both marvel at how time flys….

She also seems to like crochet hooks so I hope that one day she will want to learn.

So here is a cheer to time and the live of crochet. I hope you all have a great day!

What is your fav yarn weight to work with?

I like to work with a variety of different weights depending on the project. For cowls or shawls a DK seems to work best for me. Hats are usually in worsted for warmth.

What is your favorite?

Granddaughter is sick

So when this happens there is very little crochet or knitting happening. But there is some exciting news.
I have been asked to teach a class in crocheting so I am working on a class assignment. A sampler dishcloth is my plan. Is there any experienced crochet teachers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Happy trails!
